DAVID EDWARDS

Violin / Viola Instructor

David is an active performer throughout the southeastern United States.  As an avid orchestral violinist, David enjoys concertizing weekly as a member of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Savannah Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra Augusta.  David also performs frequently with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and maintains an active freelance career as a chamber and studio musician.

Prior to his professional life, David was concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for two seasons during his junior and senior years of high school.  He was offered a scholarship to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a student of David Updegraff.  While at the Cleveland Institute of Music, he also studied chamber music with former Cleveland Quartet second violinist, Peter Salaff, as well as members of the Cavani String Quartet.
