Musical Theater Camp
A summer musical theatre/drama camp on the campus of Newton High School in Porter Auditorium

What is this exciting camp?
Campers will audition on the first day of camp and will then be cast in various musical numbers. We will rehearse the musical numbers over the next two weeks adding staging and choreography. The camp will culminate with a performance on Friday, July 19 at 7:00 pm.
The music will be chosen based upon the abilities of the campers – many of the arrangements will be ones used similar to those in the popular TV show “Glee”.
While not everyone will be a featured soloist, everyone is guaranteed a great time!
Who Can Attend
All students who will complete grades 3 – 11 in the 2012 – 2013 school year may register.
Staff
The camp will be run by Ms. Mary Lynn Luke and Jay Tryall. Both have vast experience in theatre and are the directors of the Oxford Singing Children and Oxford Youth Singers annual theatrical production. In addition Ashley Lazenby Swan and Peter Swan will teach dance and choreography to the campers.
What to wear?
Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around and dance in. NO FLIP FLOPS OR OPEN SANDALS.
Registration
Camp tuition is $250. A $25 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration which will count towards the total fee of $250. Please complete the attached registration and release forms and return them, with your payment, to the Arts Association, 1106 Washington Street, Covington, GA 30014. If you wish to pay by credit card, you may fax your registration to (770) 784-1692 or call (770) 786-8188. Campers will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis.
Registration will begin May 1, 2013.
Sibling Policy: For each additional child enrolled in Musical Theater Camp will receive 10% off the fee. For example if you have 3 children enrolled in the MTC then you will pay the full amount of the fee for the first child and receive 10% off the fee of the second child and 10% off the fee of the third child.
